About The Community Hub
The purpose of the CISofHR “Community Hub” initiative is to increase effective family and community engagement efforts within schools across Hampton Roads by leveraging school resources and community partnerships. The ultimate goal of the CISofHR Community Hub initiative is to help position schools as resource hubs for students and families within their community. We will offer quarterly Tier 1 supports (school-wide) in the areas of college exploration, workforce readiness, and mental health supports.

The CISofHR Community Hub directly aligns with the VDOE Road to Readiness School Performance and Support Framework by strengthening school-based resource hubs that support student readiness, family engagement, and whole-child success.
Quarterly Tier I Supports (School-Wide)
Offered to all students and families through our CISofHR Community Hub Initiative.

Tools, fairs, workshops, and practical strategies to help students navigate their future
Workforce Readiness
Resume help, career panels, job skills training and practical strategies
Mental Health Support
Wellness days, expert speakers, practical strategies and self-care resources
Seminars
Engaging, school-wide sessions led by experts, professionals, and community leaders
