About the Community Hub

What is the CISofHR Community Hub?

The purpose of the CISofHR “Community Hub” initiative is to increase effective family and community engagement efforts within schools across Hampton Roads by leveraging school resources and community partnerships. The ultimate goal of the CISofHR Community Hub initiative is to help position schools as resource hubs for students and families within their community. We will offer quarterly Tier 1 supports (school-wide) in the areas of college exploration, workforce readiness, and mental health supports.

Our Purpose

We believe that when schools are supported, students thrive. The CISofHR Community Hub is designed to:
● Strengthen family and school engagement
● Expand access to essential resources
● Support whole-child development
● Foster strong community-school partnerships

Tier I Supports (School-Wide)

Offered quarterly to ALL students and families.

College Exploration Tools, fairs, workshops, and practical strategies to help students navigate their future	Workforce Readiness Resumé help, career panels, job skills training and practical strategies
Mental Health Support Wellness days, expert speakers, practical strategies and self-care resources	Seminars Engaging, school-wide sessions led by experts, professionals, and community leaders
