You don't fund a program. You fund a person in a building.
Support Creates Momentum.
Behind every improved attendance record and every student who walked the stage is one thing: a trained, caring adult who showed up every day. Your investment is what puts that adult in the building. The community does the changing — you make it possible.
The Need
The barriers are real — and they're not academic.
Across Hampton Roads, students arrive at school carrying things no lesson plan can fix: unstable housing, hunger, grief, trauma, and the quiet weight of feeling that no one is in their corner. Teachers can’t do it alone. That’s the gap CISofHR was built to close — by embedding a full-time Site Coordinator inside the school to remove the barriers standing between a student and their potential.
Why It Works
A model that's proven — and measured.
CISofHR delivers the nationally recognized Communities In Schools® evidence-based model, validated by Harvard and Cornell research. Our outcomes are tracked all year and independently verified — so when you invest, you can see exactly what your dollars moved.

What Partners Receive
Partnership is a two-way relationship.

You’ll see your investment at work, and you’ll be able to tell your board and your community exactly what it made possible.
In Good Company
Trusted by the people who know this work best.
Two kinds of partners power this work: the funders who make a coordinator’s daily presence possible, and the community partners we connect students to every day.
